SIGHTINGS UPDATE
Monday July 5, 2021
10am: Our morning trip started with a quick stop with gray and harbour seals, and then we zipped out towards the Wolves islands, we were hoping to spot some blows (no such luck!) but we did see some harbour porpoise along the way. From there, we headed into Head Harbour, where a couple of other boats had picked up two minkes. We had a bit of boat traffic that made it tricky, but after spreading out, we got a few good looks. While making our way back home through the islands, we picked up an old favourite, SLICE, the minke! We got some great looks at Slice, our first of the season before we had to make our way home.
Thank You to Dani for the update this morning
1:30pm: This afternoon it took us a little bit to find a whale but with keen eyes we found two minke whales. While we watched them porpoise swam nice and close to the boat. Some of the passengers were also able to get a quick look at a shark, porbeagle we think. We also so lots of seals and bald eagles. Beautiful sunny afternoon on the bay!!
Thank You to Claire for the update this afternoon
Cheers,
Danielle
