SIGHTINGS UPDATE
Saturday August 29, 2020

10am: This morning’s trip started out with a look at some harbour seals at Blacks Ledge. Then we took a run offshore to search around the Wolves to see if we were missing anything further out, you never know if you don’t put the effort in to search. We found porpoise but no larger whales so we headed back in towards the Islands. We took a bit of searching but we were rewarded with great looks of 2 minkes in Head Harbour. There was a small group of gray seals off Casco Bay Island that were just hanging out, before heading back home.

1:30pm: This afternoon we saw 3 different minke whales, several bald eagles, a few porpoise, and lots of seals. The winds picked up during our trip and it was rainy but we got lots of great looks before it was time to head back to St. Andrews!

5pm: Cancelled due to weather.
