SIGHTINGS UPDATE
Friday August 28, 2020

10am: This morning we had a finback, seals, and an eagle. We also got to see a great Blue Heron! We got lots of great looks at the finback whale before we went to try and find a humpback. We were unsuccessful in that search but we did get to see harbour porpoise!

1:30pm: This afternoon we had 3 minke whales. We got great looks at all three. We had several eagles, including a couple juveniles, and got to watch a couple of them fishing for food! We had harbour porpoise, and stopped with seals on the way back to St Andrews.

5pm: Our evening trip started out at Black Ledge with some harbour seals and a couple of gray seals. We then headed towards Head Harbour, where we were treated to views of two minkes and a whole lot of harbour porpoises feeding. The blows of a fin whale were seen right off Head Harbour Lighthouse. We followed it to White Island, where we spent some time watching it surface in the evening sun.

Thank You to Dani, Rika and Claire for the updates! And thanks to our passengers who joined us today on the Quoddy Link,
Cheers,
Danielle
