SIGHTINGS UPDATE
Tuesday August 4, 2020

10am: This morning we were treated to flat calm waters as we entered the Bay of Fundy. We stopped with harbour and grey seals and 2 bald eagles on Black Ledge. Then watched harbour porpoise feeding and fish jumping. We saw three minke whales including Captain Mat’s absolute favourite whale, Slice, the minke whale. We checked out Whitehorse Island and the East Quoddy Head Light before returning to St Andrews. A great morning!

1:30pm: This afternoon it was still flat and calm out and we headed straight out and picked up Slice, the minke whale. After several great looks we headed out further and found another couple more minke whales. We stopped with the birds on Whitehorse and seals on our way back to St Andrews.

5pm: The evening trip we saw 3-4 minkes, lots of seals and had a nice close look at a bald eagle, as captain John was able to great close to the ledge at low tide

minke, all minkes have a unique shape to their dorsal and some are easier to recognize than others
