SIGHTINGS UPDATE
Monday August 3, 2020

10am: This morning started out in some thick Fundy Fog. After visiting the seals on Blacks Ledge, we meandered through the islands, spotting Northern gannets and great shearwaters along the way. We picked up a minke whale off Nubble for a couple of looks before we had to make our way back to St. Andrews.

1:30pm: In the afternoon, the wind picked up and cleared the fog out, increasing visibility. While cruising through the islands, we saw a number of harbour porpoises and bald eagles soaring above the Bay. Just off of Whitehorse Island, we spotted a minke and got some great looks before heading back in through the islands.

5pm: This evening we still had wind but no fog so we stopped with seals, then Tracey found a minke whale we were able to spend some time with. We checked out the Head Harbour Light on Campobello Island, saw harbour porpoise, another minke whale, and a bald eagle.
