Hello everyone, Danielle with Quoddy Link Marine here again with another weekly report. The past week has been filled with minke sightings both inshore and offshore. On Saturday we did a big run off towards Grand Manan, an area called the Long Eddy tide rip on the northern tip of the Island to search for larger whales. We found a few minkes and lots of porpoise and got some wonderful views but no luck in spotting other species. Lots of seals and the porpoise sightings have just been incredible.
We will continue to search for those larger whales when the weather (wind and fog) allows.
