Good afternoon everyone, I am writing to you from Gatineau, my winter home and getting ready for our 2025 season, our 31st season on the Bay of Fundy.
Our season will officially begin on June 14th with daily departures at 1:30pm (Atlantic Time….please don’t forget about the time change!) but in the next few weeks we do have some charters (a large group books the entire boat for their own private excursion) and I will share some sightings from those trips.
Rika is helping us out again this season (and we are SO HAPPY and GRATEFUL to have her back on the Quoddy) and here’s what she had to say about our charter with our long-time guests from Grand Circle Travel
“With clear blue skies and on flat calm waters, took our passengers straight over to Campobello early this morning via Western Passage. After a wonderful tour of the Roosevelt Campobello International Park, our passengers returned and we moved out for a look around Harbour Passage. We stopped with seals off Casco Bay Island, spotted a bald eagle on Whitehorse Island, and were delighted by small groups of sea birds and harbour porpoises. We also stopped at the Northern end of Campobello to see Head Harbour Light, also known as East Quoddy Head Light before we returned to Saint Andrews at low tide with big smiles and just in time, as the winds picked up shortly thereafter.”
Here’s a few images taken by Rika from their trip on Tuesday June 3rd

Checking out some seals at low tide, those rocks (the dark ones covered in seaweed) will be covered with water at high tide and the seals will go in the water – Image by RNason
