Hello everyone, I’m back with some more updates from the water thanks to Jolinne!

Minkes, minkes, minkes! Today on all three departures we stayed in the islands and watched multiple minke whales. There were lots of harbour porpoises seen, spent some time with seals. Considering were we inshore in the islands there were still lots of bird species; northern gannets, razorbills, phalaropes, Bonaparte gulls and terns (arctic and common). We even had a female peregrine falcon sitting next to East Quoddy Head Light.

The morning and the afternoon departures were spent in the Islands and they spent time watching multiple minke whales.

The evening departure they decided to go looking further offshore towards the Wolf Islands and the Wolf Bank. No whales were sighted out there, they returned inshore near Campobello Island and were still unable to find a whale.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on all of these departures and thank you for checking in with us here!

Cheers,

Danielle
